Easy piano sheets for small beginnings
No music degree. No perfect timing. Just a familiar melody, a few friendly notes, and a place to start.
Your first ten minutes at the piano
Sit where your shoulders can relax, with your elbows near key height. Find a group of two black keys; the white key directly to their left is C. Start with a melody that uses neighboring white keys. In Easy mode, each note has one beat, leaving you free to learn the pitch order first.
A little tip: Our suggested starting order: Ode to Joy, Twinkle, Twinkle, then the opening of Fur Elise.
- 01Find middle C and rest your fingers lightly on the keys.
- 02Listen to one phrase. Play it slowly without the recording.
- 03Repeat a comfortable phrase, then finish while it still feels good.
Make it your own
Letters name the notes. The number tells you the octave. Brackets [ ] = play together. A dash = rest.
Easy uses even beats. Intermediate adds a bass guide. Original key keeps the entered excerpt rhythm, not a complete original score.
